Michael is who you want to prepare you for and lead you through any emergency

I worked under Mr. Michael Walton as an EMT at Western Albermarle Rescue Squad. He is not only an incredible mentor and teacher, but also a calm, efficient, and effective leader during emergency situations. He is extremely adept at diffusing tense situations and making his crew members and patients feel safe, and provided an example that I continually seek to emulate in my own work and life.
Michael worked tirelessly on every shift to establish and enhance crew competence and safety. He methodically instructed his crew members in ensuring equipment functionality, and in its proper use and maintenance. He also diligently coached his crew through practice technical and patient assessment skills, to ensure we were as prepared as possible for any emergency situation encountered. The incredible amount of knowledge and skills he imparted on me during our time together have proven absolutely invaluable as I have continued my career pursuits!

Michael's Work-Ethic is Unmatched

Michael Walton served as a mentor to me for two years at Western Albemarle Rescue Squad as my crew captain. As a brand new emergency medical technician, I had close to no field experience. Michael truly performed a juggling act in each emergent situation. He ensured the patient’s safety using the knowledge he gained from years of experience in emergency services, coordinated with fire and police personnel to ensure every scene was safe, and used every moment as a new teaching opportunity to mold me into a better, more efficient care provider. As a leader, he always worked with extreme calm and precision even in the most chaotic environments, and by doing so, he set a standard for me and the rest of our crew. Further, Michael would use the downtime between calls to keep up-to-date on new procedures and to thoroughly check the stock of supplies on the ambulances. Michael Walton is always prepared, always up-to-date, and always willing to help. It was an honor to work with him.

Pleasure to work with Michael

I had the privilege of working with Michael Walton at nTelos Wireless where I served as the Chief Operations Officer which means ultimately his organization reported up to me and the other C Suite Executives.   Michael was totally dependable, responsible and always up to date on all issues dealing with building and facilities.  He also was involved as a first responder and never had to be asked to do something that needed to be done.  He was always ahead of planning for contingencies and I must say every department loved working with him and his team.  He is a positive and upbeat individual and leads with humility and grace.  He never was flustered and always had a steady hand and mind.  I highly recommend Michael for any task or assignment.  He is a winner and man of integrity.”  Conrad J. Hunter, Former COO of nTelos Wireless

Nice testimonial from Conrad.

Privilege to work with Michael

Michael Walton ran our buildings and grounds at Ntelos Wireless.  In my entire career, I have never had a direct report with whom I had more trust and admiration.  He is passionate about his profession.  His sole focus is to make sure that his operations are safe, well maintained, efficiently run, and prepared for any and all emergencies. He is highly respected by his peers for his calm demeanor, high integrity, and positive attitude.  In the spirit of continuous improvement, Michael is constantly reading to ensure that his practices reconcile with the most current polices, regulations, and threats.  Most importantly, and as evidenced by his life-long service as a first responder, when an issue arises, Michael is the first person to respond and often the last to leave.  It is my privilege to serve as a reference for Michael Walton.

Housekeeping

Informative article on ergonomics. Makes one appreciate the amount of work that goes into preparing a room for a new guest. The housekeepers really do work hard.
