Housekeeping Safety and Ergonomics

This is a look at Hotel Housekeeping and the work involved in cleaning guest rooms.  Housekeepers work hard then go home and take care of their families.  Often they leave work tied and sore.  This paper looks at ways to make the work more ergonomic and safer so the housekeepers can leave feeling good and able to help their families.

A day in the life of a housekeeper includes pushing heavy carts, using a variety of cleaners, squeezing atomizer bottles, pulling bed linens, picking up towels, and many other tasks.  They are dedicated workers who perform their job everyday.
